The Challenge
The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), a prominent organization representing the interests of licensed professional engineers, recognized the critical need for a comprehensive website overhaul.
Their goals were ambitious:

They also needed an advanced content editing solution that would accommodate the needs of members, staff, and stakeholders while enabling NSPE to scale their digital content publishing capabilities in the near future.
The Solution
We approached the NSPE project as a digital partnership enabling digital infrastructure to support ambitious business goals, not just a website project. Our team started by immersing ourselves in NSPE’s brand, goals, and audience by working closely with the association’s new leadership and executive staff. From there, we crafted a custom website solution that blended thoughtful design, advanced content editing and publishing features, and complex systems integration.
Member-Centered Web Design
We began with a deep dive into user experience strategy—mapping user journeys, identifying friction points, and creating a streamlined sitemap to improve findability and flow. Through strategy workshops, we established a bold new visual language for NSPE, incorporating modern typography, refreshed color palettes, and a new iconography system. Each landing page was purpose-built to tell NSPE’s story with clarity and impact, balancing aesthetics with usability on both informational and transactional pages. Additionally, the advanced content editing features have been developed so NSPE can easily create new landing pages and self-manage a great deal of the website.
Seamless Integration & Development
Once the design was completed after extensive collaboration with NSPE and its members, our development team brought the vision to life using Drupal 10, an ambitious content management platform well-suited for NSPE’s complex needs. Collaborating closely, our Drupal architects implemented deep integrations with their association management system, community platform, and their LMS, enabling real-time data syncing and single sign-on capabilities. These advanced systems integrations ensure members can access personalized content and member-only areas without friction or confusion.

Success demanded more than just great design and clean code—it required a bulletproof launch process. As a full-service agency providing managed hosting and ongoing maintenance, we executed a meticulous QA and testing plan, running the new website through dozens of real-world scenarios, devices, and browsers. Our internal QA team led alpha testing, and we facilitated hands-on beta testing with NSPE’s internal team, gathering their final input before launch.
We never stop at delivery. We trained the NSPE staff to manage and grow their site confidently, equipping them with the tools and know-how to stay agile. Post-launch, we continue to support their success with planned enhancements for new goals, and with regular security updates and fully managed hosting through our in-house team.
