Magento 2 QuickBooks Integration Done Right

Integration for ecommerce websites is a must given the checkout, payment processing, accounting, shipping, and many other processes that are required to run an online business. New Target is known for its integration expertise, and we’ve been asked over the past few years to integrate a number of Magento stores with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. We’ve developed a custom solution that syncs everything from orders to payment types to taxes and even includes referral tracking. And, today, we’re announcing it’s available to use on your Magento projects. Simply fill out our form, and we’ll contact you to get started.

Initially, we tried using a few out-of-the-box Magento 2 modules and found them to be a bit of a hassle and incomplete. We encountered data issues and incorrect mappings, too, via the Quickbooks API, which, understandably, created cleanup work for the team. So, we took a step back, reviewed the specs of QuickBooks, and used our Magento 2 expertise to create a custom integration that handles everything correctly the first time.

The custom integration New Target designed seamlessly pulls information from Magento 2 into QuickBooks including customer invoices, payments, refunds, and discounts. Customers are also synced in QuickBooks with additional data that could include account numbers, types of customer (wholesale/retail), job start and end dates, or any other data you need to sync from Magento 2. Our custom solution handles payment types including Authorize.net, Amazon Pay, PayPal, Braintree, and your company’s purchase orders, and it gets the correct authorization numbers for easy reporting in QuickBooks. The module is also fully integrated with Avalara’s AvaTax for easy tax calculation and reporting, all in one place. And, we support Magento 2 Tax Zones and Rates which enables you to specify the tax rate for each geographic area based on your business’s sales, distribution, or retail footprint.

On a product level, we can keep all of your items in sync between the two systems including multiple inventory sites, quantities of product, and much more. As an added bonus, we developed and implemented a way to track referrals from Google, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and a number of other sources. This allows you to quickly run a report in QuickBooks to see which source drives the most revenue!

With our custom integration, you can easily sync information from Magento 2 to QuickBooks including:

  • Orders, Invoices, Payments, Credits/Refunds, Discounts
  • Customers, Account Numbers, Addresses, Phone Numbers, Emails, Types
  • Payment Types: Authorize.net, Amazon Pay, PayPal, Braintree, Purchase Orders
  • Tax Types: AvaTax, Magento Tax Rates and Zones
  • Referral Tracking: Google, Instagram, Facebooks, Twitter, Pinterest

Our custom Magento 2/QuickBooks integration provides a tested solution for everything you need to run your ecommerce business. Let New Target help with your integration project.
